This is the story of Bill Pearson, a family counselor struggling to understand his own family. His wife, Susan Pearson is a stay-at-home mom determined to keep her family in line. They have 3 children, Trent, Lauren and Bryan. Trent and Lauren are teenagers struggling to find their own way and trying to get away with what ever they can. Bryan is the youngest and is very intelligent which gets him into more trouble.
