Episode Summary: | I thought this was a pretty strong beginning to the second half of the season. Really, who could ask for more. The story was a little frustrating, but I think any story that has as much conflict and back story as this one does takes some time to develop.
I enjoyed Gina Torres as Bree and it seemed like that was a character they could have developed, but based on the story line tonight that is going to be difficult. What was the underlying reason Damon took Elena to Georgia with him?
Stefan turns out again to be a good friend to have when you are in serious trouble. I wonder what the future holds now that the tomb has been revealed? Could it be easily opened or will it take some serious mojo to get through that wall?
Anna played by Malese Jow seems like an interesting character. Was it a coincidence that the books fell when they did and that she and Jeremy met? She seems to have a lot of knowledge about older Mystic Falls people and stories.
The surprising revelations that came with Stefan and Elena were what this episode needed to really put a bow on it. There's a lot more to say, but I won't as it will give too much information away.
We also finally find out some of what is going on with Alaric Saltzman. First the panic over the lost ring for a few seconds and then the revelation about why he might actually be there.
A recommended watch as this show is an entertaining mishmash of different stories flowing together in different directions converging and then falling back apart. A lot of fun to follow. Thanks for reading... |

Episode Summary: | I actually like the direction the show has gone even though my score may seem a little low. Overall I think the many plots are falling together again as we are losing loose ends and picking up new plots to follow. We finally come to the end of the tomb situation and nothing ends as it seemed it would. You will have to watch the episode to see, but Damon, Anna, Bonnie, her Grandmother, the town of Mystic Falls, and even Damon and Elena's lives could change.
We have our other little distractions which seem like setups for major plot lines later on. That seems to be the way this show flows. We get set up with a number of various plot lines and then a few blow up into major stories. We didn't see Alaric or find anything else about Isabella. So that is still hanging out there. The party out near the old cemetery seemed to spark some tension and then we had the little bit near the end which seems could get ugly.
So I guess we get to wait a while for the next installment as no one wants to buck the Olympics. I believe we're back in late March. This is almost going to be like winter break again before most of the shows continue. Overall I found the episode entertaining and I am interested to see where the story goes from here. Thanks for reading... |

Episode Summary: | Well, my current favorite series on tv right now is back... This episode was pretty good at adding things to the plot, and it introduced Klaus(in a way that made my face go =0), didn't paint Isobel & John as total heartless bastards, showed Bonnie getting new power, and we finally saw Elena & Katherine together in one scene(though I felt that was unneccessary), but while watching I felt like things were dragged out too much, or maybe that just me wanting more...
No, things were dragged out too much. Isobel's "plan" took up 95.5% of the episode, and did it really take just one episode for the moonstone and Katherine to be in Klaus's hands? Damon apparently did not hide the moonstone very well.
The location of where the witches died was confusing, when the past episodes made it sound like it was a field where they died, which resulted in a "huh?" from me. How can that house still be standing if people were burned alive there? The room didn't even look charred to me. Consistancy, consistancy.
So, next week's episode looks promising, it should beat off this episode's slow start with a stick.

Episode Summary: | Was it just me or was last Thursday 'til tonight the longest wait EVER? Spoilers flooded the internet from magazines such as Entertainment Weekley, who had already seen the ep. They said things like, "You better get your tissues ready because someone dies" and "epic cliffhanger." And both ended up being true.
What I Liked:
1. Aklaric - a.k.a. Klaus in Alaric's meat suit, as they would say on Supernatural. I love Alaric, but wow, he plays bad so good! I mean well. Let's be grammatically correct here. Anyway... Klaus was HILARIOUS, and Matt Davis sure showed off that he's an epic actor. The opening sequence was especially hilarious... or unsettling, seeing as Aklaric compelled Katherine to repeatedly stab herself in the leg. Needless to say, she's in for some serious punishment.
2. The Bonnie death fakeout. Was her "death" scene not the most devastating thing ever? I couldn't even say anything during the commercial break, but kept thinking about the conversation she had had with Damon beforehand, in which she said she was willing to do anything. That made me suspect one of two things. One! That Damon gave her blood and she would become a witchpire (which would have been soooooo very stupid). Or TWO! She would fake her death to trick Klaus. Which is what happened. I don't know... something about it... it didn't seem big enough to send off as huge a character as Bonnie. And I'm glad that she's still kicking, because that means that she's not likely to die in the season finale, seeing as she's already "died" this season.
3. The emotional Delena scene at the end of the show. WOW! I'm Team Stelena, but that was some powerful stuff. It was heart-wrenching. You could literally sense the sexual tension and I kind of thought that Elena was going to kiss him but then I realized that that would just totally be out of character for her. I think that might have been the beginning of mutual Delena feelings, however. I realize that Delena will happen in some way or another in the series, because... duh... and I'm totally fine with that as long as it's done in a good, solid way that doesn't totally screw over Stefan.
4. Elijah's back! I'm totally clueless about why Elena would do that, but I'm VERY curious to find out. I loved that scene in the preview where he goes, "I believe the term you're looking for is OMG." That made me laugh.
Things I Didn't Like:
1. Even though it was a great episode, something just seemed to be missing during the beginning of the dance scene. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the beginning of the dance just kind of lacked an "umph." Fortunately, that didn't last long and the dance soon turned into another Mystical Falls "event from hell."
2. The lack of Maroline scenes. I wish that that story would have been pushed forward a little bit more than it was. Hopefully it will be in the episodes to come. I'm very curious about what becomes of that. Somehow, I think that both Sheriff Forbes and Matt will join the Scooby gang or something... I don't think either of them would do something to totally wreck Caroline's life. At least, I hope not.
3. The "plug" toward the end for that AT&T device. First it was all the different cell phones, then the Ford cars and their capabilities, and now this. I understand why they do it, but it just sort of takes away from the show. Oh, well. It was an epic installment and I can't wait for "Klaus!" |

Episode Summary: | Now THAT was an episode done right. Wow! Even though I totally knew that the cliffhanger was going to be this episode's cliffhanger, that's totally all right because of all of the other shocking, amazing, mind-blowing/boggling things that happened in this episode... So, let's jump right in.
Oh... MAJOR SPOILER WARNING. Just throwing that out there. Catch it if you wish.
What I Loved:
1. The Sun and the Moon Curse... totes fake. WOW. Didn't see that coming at all! I feel as though I've been deceived... and I loved it! Although the Sun and Moon Curse was cool, this new "werepire (I so knew there would be a werepire on this show) Klaus curse" is way cooler! I'm very excited to see where this goes. Which brings me to Number 2...
2. Werepire Klaus. Dude. This is going to be epically epic. When Elijah was explaining the whole deal to Elena, I got so excited. This is going to be one heck of an intense ending to one of the most exciting seasons of televisions ever. Looking forward to this.
3. The family that kills together... Okay, so I kind of guessed that Klaus and Elijah were brothers, but I loved the whole Original backstory and the explanation that ALL of the other Originals are vampires (stoked to meet the others, btw, whenever that time comes).
4. Elijah's back. With that hair of his. I love Elijah's character. He's so funny... and Daniel Gillies is a superb actor who is just perfect for this role. I'm glad that after all of the ways that Elena, Stefan, and Damon have screwed him over this season (i.e. killing him not once, but twice) he's still being a "man of honor" (as he is so frequently called on this show of ourss.) What a guy. I have a feeling that it has something to do with the fact that Elena looks exactly like Katherine, whom he obviously cared for a great amount telling from the flashback scenes in this episode. Oh! I'm kind of Team Kelijah. Kat and Elijah? Maybe? Possibly?
5. The apartment scene with Katherine, Damon, and Andie. That made me laugh, especially when Andie said, "It was nice meeting you," to Katherine before they left.
6. The Stefan/Damon tension. It just keeps escalating. Damon was being a total douche in this episode. I love his character, but he was just way out of line. He needs to pop some happy pills and chillax.
7. We meet Greta! Although we've only seen her for a couple of seconds, I'm curious to see where this is going. I'll admit I kind of forgot about her so when Klaus said, "Greta," I was like, "Oh, yeah... Greta. Right." Forgot about them Martin witches... Excuse my bad grammar. I found it necessary in that instance.
What I Didn't Like:
1. No Caroline, Jeremy, Bonnie, Matt, or Sheriff Forbes. I understand why they weren't in this episode (no time), but still. Aw. Oh, well. This episode was still epic and I so cannot WAIt until next week.

Episode Summary: | Wow!! I loved this episode! My only disappointment was that Jenna wasn't more freaked out by the Salvator brothers. I know she knows they're good guys, I guess, but I was looking forward to seeing her be freaked out and have a much harder time dealing with it. She seems to know an awful lot without being told...
Plus, what in the world have Jeremy and Bonnie been up to for the last couple episodes? I think the scene above the waterfall was the most emotional of the whole series for me. What's the deal with Katherine pretending to still be under Klaus's compulsion? There's no point in pretending to be under it until he's dead, because she wouldn't be under it anymore once he's dead anyway, right? |
